Based on Matthew 20:1-16, the Sunday morning sermon by Rev. Carol Cook explored Jesus' Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard and our natural tendency to begrudge the 11th hour workers who receive the same reward as those who toiled the entire day. Her sermon concluded with an audience participation, in which worshippers were asked to write personal blessings and grievances on cards, compare their spiritual weights, give up one card in offering, and take home the other card as a daily reminder. |
