Marielys Marti sent this note of thanks for their Baby Shower at the church on June 26, 2011: "Thanks for everything, we feel very blessed to be part of the Church; we feel the love of everyone. Thanks for the baby shower we enjoyed it and also we are very grateful for the presents and that everyone stayed to have time to share with us."

Lois DeVeas and her mother, Wilma Ingram, send their thanks for the prayers, cards, and calls about her mother's recuperation. Lois said to tell everyone that her mother is improving every day, that she misses us, and that she hopes to be with us again in August (2011).

LePage Brookes would like to thank the church members for their support and prayers during recent months as her husband Bob's condition deteriorated and for the wonderful outpouring of love she received at the Memorial Service for Bob on June 4, 2011.

May 1, 2011 -- The Davis family sent this note: We all Thank You for the beautiful plant and remembering Gerry. He often spoke of First Christian Church and had much love for all of the parishioners there. At peace with his loving family, we know he no longer battles illness, like he had these last few months, but he is with God in His Kingdom forever.

May 1, 2011 -- Lynn Hubin has made several deliveries to the House of Ruth since we selected them as our mission. Many lovely donations have been received from Helen, Valerie, Bobbie, Janet, Carol, Mary Simms, Mary Leedy, and Lois. Thanks so much; your support is really appreciated by Lynn and those in need.

February 27, 2011 -- Many thanks to everyone for making last Sunday such a beautiful worship service! The prayers of everyone, whether you were able to attend or not, filled the sanctuary with God's loving presence for the Installation Service. We were indeed blessed by the presence of all of the other congregations in this building as well as the many other visitors and the participants in the service. The reception afterwards was also joy-filled and delicious. A special thanks to Lois DeVeas for organizing and creating such a wonderful space for us to fellowship. -- Rev. Carol Cook

February 6, 2011 -- Thank You, Anne Ditzell. Our dear friend died last year, but she never forgot her friends at First Christian Church. She arranged for a life insurance policy that listed First Christian Church as the beneficiary. Anne, your presence and loving ways continue to bless us. Thank you.

January 16, 2011 -- From Lynn Hazlegrove: Rev. Cook – Thank you and your members for the kindness at this time. I am so thankful for the gift cards. Also, I am looking forward to meeting you one day soon as the holidays pass and my grief eases up. Please keep me in your prayers.
