The four Christian Faith Partners of First Christian Church (St. Andrews Christian Community, First Christian, Mt. Olivet Christian, and The Gathering) offered to the public a combined worship on New Year's Day at 11:00 a.m., with reflections on the theme, "Here We Go Again," by Rev. Marcus Adams and Rev. Sharon Smith. Rev. Ernest Smart led the liturgies and Holy Communion, and Rev. Carol Cook read from the Bible and gave the benediction. The service was filled with music and prayer. St. Andrews Christian Community hosted a post-worship fellowship. Many worshippers commented that the Holy Spirit truly inhabited our house of worship on this first day of the year. |
